Vegan Gravy

Ingredients:

  • Vegetable Oil – 3 TBSP
  • Onions, chopped – 3 TBSP
  • Garlic, minced – 4 cloves
  • Flour – 3 TBSP
  • Nutritional yeast flakes – 1 TBSP
  • Tamari – 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable Stock – 1 and 3/4 cup
  • Dried sage – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp

Directions:

Saute onion and garlic until soft.  Stir in flour, yeast, and tamari.  Gradually whisk in the stock.  Season with sage, salt and pepper.  Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened.
